Dead Man’s Canyon:
Sunday, Nov 27, 10/9c on History

Trucker Hugh Rowland takes on an old donkey trail with some dynamite during his nearly impossible climb into the Andes. The trucking team of Lisa Kelly and G.W. Boles drive head-first into “Dead Nun Canyon,” praying their truck isn’t too big for the miles and miles of hand-carved tunnels in front of them. Tim Zickuhr and Tino Rodriguez aim to take on the canyons as well… if their mishaps don’t stop them cold again.

ONLY IN AMERICA WITH LARRY THE CABLE GUY

Series Premiere Tuesday, February 8 at 9 p.m. ET on HISTORY®

January, 2011, New York, NY – Larry the Cable Guy believes the United States of America is the greatest country on the face of the earth and he’s out to prove it. In this new series, Larry crisscrosses the nation, going totally off the beaten path to find the people, places and things that define this nation’s unique history. From panning for gold in the hills of California to leading a cavalry charge in a Civil War reenactment in Virginia, Larry gives history a fun, down-home twist in the new one-hour series ONLY IN AMERICA WITH LARRY THE CABLE GUY, debuting Tuesday, February 8 at 9 p.m. ET on HISTORY.

Each episode uncovers surprising information about America’s history from the story of how moonshine-making during Prohibition gave rise to one of America’s most celebrated past times – NASCAR racing – to the history of etiquette from Emily Post’s heirs in Vermont, complete with a lesson in good manners.

Coast to coast Larry visits cities of all sizes getting an education in its history including, Monowi, NE a town with a population of one and the bustling metropolis of San Francisco, CA and New York, NY.

Throughout this informative and quirky approach to history, Larry prompts one memorable adventure after the next. He finds himself competing in a Mark Twain-style frog race in Calaveras County, CA; crawfishing in Louisiana; logging deep in the Oregon woods; discovering dog sledding in the icy lakes of Minnesota and getting a kick out of Mule Day in Tennessee.

Larry the Cable Guy is a cultural icon. After years of working the comedy circuit he was propelled to superstardom as a member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour (along with Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall). Ticket sales, merchandising, books, comedy records, and movies earned him a spot on Forbes’ Top 100 Celebrity Money-Makers list in 2007.

Original competition series from HISTORY® returns for Season Two

on Tuesday, February 8 at 10pm ET

Hosted by Survivor Contestant Colby Donaldson

January, 2011 – The hit competition series from HISTORY is rearmed and reloaded. Sixteen fearless marksmen, carefully selected from thousands of applicants, will aim for the $100,000 prize package and the title of “Top Shot.” The all-new cast of 14 men and two women includes a 10-time NRA pistol champ, two former world shooting champs, a Texas cop, a Jersey shore Air Force sniper, a Bronze Star recipient, and representatives from four branches of the military.

The 13-week series premieres Tuesday, February 8 at 10pm ET on HISTORY.

TOP SHOT’s second season will see more intense challenges and surprising twists inspired by history. Trials include shooting from the back of a moving vehicle, based on a WWII training exercise, shooting while hanging from a 125 foot crane or even shooting while being turned upside down. Firearms in the contestants’ arsenal will include the iconic “Tommy Gun,”.44 Magnum and a .50 caliber sniper rifle, as well as primitive weapons like the Tomahawk and blow gun. High-speed HD cameras capture the skillful execution of each test in extreme slow-motion.

Survivor contestant, athlete and adventurer Colby Donaldson returns as host of HISTORY’S second season of the elimination series.

The season two premiere (Tuesday, February 8) opens with a surprise straight from Civil War history exactly 150 years ago: marksmen will face the same test that soldiers had to pass to get into the Union Army’s first sharpshooting regiment. The two with the best shots will then get to choose their own teams. The episode also includes a game of extreme billiards and an elimination challenge which sends the first marksman home in tears. Every contender must possess incredible speed, precision and skill, but in the end, only one winner will earn the “Top Shot” title.

Based on the past success of TOP SHOT, casting for a season 3 of the series is already under way. To find out more information on season 3 casting, visit:
