Season two of the hit A&E original scripted drama series “The Cleaner,” starring Benjamin Bratt, Grace Park, Amy Price-Francis and Esteban Powell premieres Tuesday, June 23 at 10PM ET/PT.

Inspired by the true story of real life “extreme interventionist” Warren Boyd, “The Cleaner” stars Bratt as William Banks, a recovering addict who must balance his unwavering dedication to helping others get clean with an increasingly rocky personal life and the ghosts of his addictions. Banks and his teammates Akani Cuesta (Park) and Arnie Swenton (Powell) employ an unconventional – and often by any means necessary – approach to getting addicts and those who surround them to realize they’ve reached rock-bottom and help them begin the process of recovery. With every success and failure, William wrestles with his commitment to his work and his love for his wife Melissa (Price-Francis) and their children through an unusual relationship with God.

Whoopi Goldberg guest stars in the series premiere, “Hello America,” as William’s (Bratt) former sponsor who resurfaces when an addict he is called to help is one she currently sponsors.

Season 2 of Benjamin Bratt’s series The Cleaner returns to A&E this week. The big guest star for the first episode will be Whoopi Goldberg. Also appearing is Gary Cole. The Cleaner is about a man named William Banks who works to help people get clean and overcome addiction- even when the person being helped doesn’t want the help. Co-stars are Grace Park ( Battlestar Galactica) and Esteban Powell.

Episode 2.01 – Hello America
William faces his old sponsor when a friend seeks his help to get her husband clean.

Episode 2.02 – Last American Casualty
William sets out for a relaxing weekend with Ben, but ends up having to take on two cases of alcoholism.

Episode 2.03 – The Projectionist
William is hired to help a pregnant East Indian girl who is addicted to meth; William kidnaps the girl on her wedding day and decides to take her to his safe house for detox instead of to the hospital; William struggles with his separation from Melissa.

Episode 2.04 – Does Everybody Have a Drink
A talent manager hires William to help his star client kick her drug habit.

Episode 2.05 – The Things We Don’t Plan
A cop hires William to clean up his estranged son who is also on the police force; William tries to figure out how to grab an addict who is armed; Akani brings in a homeless woman; Swenton meets an alcoholic father and his daughter on a bus.

Episode 2.06 – Split Ends
Twin sisters discover their paths to recover may be intertwined; William’s old friend Greg comes to visit; Greg hits on Melissa and then tempts an addict with heroin.
